Help
The fixes for the things that come up most. If your question is about how something works rather than something being broken, the FAQ is the better place.
Common fixes
| Problem | Try this first |
|---|---|
| Confirmation email missing | Check spam. Opening the link on a computer is fine — it shows a page telling you to finish on your phone. |
| Kid can't sign in | Check the family code against your Family tab, the username spelling (capitals don't matter), and the 6-digit PIN. A parent can reset the PIN. |
| Balance looks wrong | Open the kid's history — every change is listed with its source. Undo anything recorded twice; the correction shows in the history rather than disappearing. |
| A tap in kid mode didn't add Mynts | That's the default: kid-mode taps go to your approvals inbox. Leave kid mode with your PIN and approve them, or switch to instant awards in Family → Kid mode. |
| Rewards are locked | Family → Rewards unlock controls this. The kid's rewards screen says what's still needed — either the remaining must-do tasks or how many more Mynts. |
| Screen blank or stuck | If Myntley shows the connection screen, check your internet and tap Try again. Otherwise pull down to refresh, then check for an app update. |
| Reward link has the wrong title or image | Open Edit reward and tap Refresh preview. Some stores limit automated previews; you can edit the reward name, replace or remove the image, remove the link, or keep the link without a preview. |
| Plus did not unlock after purchase | Stay signed in, reopen the Myntley Plus screen, and use Restore purchases. Confirm the App Store account has an active subscription. Never purchase a second time just to force a refresh. |
| Need to cancel Plus | Open the Myntley Plus screen and choose Manage subscription, or use your device's App Store subscription settings. Deleting the app or account does not cancel store billing. |
| No sounds | iPhone: check the ring/silent switch — the app stays quiet whenever your phone does. Android: check media volume. Then check Family → Sounds. |
| Locked out of parent mode | The parent PIN screen accepts your account password as a fallback. |
Reporting a bug
Report it from inside the app: Family → More settings → Send feedback, and pick Bug. That attaches the technical context automatically — your platform, OS version, and the last error the app hit — with no personal details about your children, and it reaches us directly.
What helps most in the description:
- what you tapped, and what happened instead of what you expected;
- whether it was the parent view or a kid's view;
- roughly when it happened, and whether it happens every time.
Your family's data
Parents can delete a child's account, or their own, from inside the app — that is the fastest and most complete route, and it removes the underlying records rather than hiding them. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is held, for how long, and how to make a request about it.
Myntley is still in private testing. It isn't publicly available yet, so this page is here ahead of the app rather than alongside it.
